Wisconsin Community Health Worker Network Announces 2025 Annual Conference

“Reignite. Reconnect. Rise Together.”

Milwaukee, WI — Oct 2nd — The Wisconsin Community Health Worker Network, in partnership with UniteWI, is proud to announce its 2025 Annual Conference, taking place October 29, 2025 at the Glacier Canyon Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

This year’s theme, Reignite. Reconnect. Rise Together, underscores the vital role of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in advancing health equity, strengthening families, and building resilient communities across Wisconsin and beyond.

The one-day event will bring together health professionals, community leaders, policymakers, and advocates to share strategies, resources, and best practices that improve health outcomes through culturally responsive care.

 Conference Highlights

  • Keynote Address by Mary Kay Battaglia, Executive Director of NAMI Wisconsin, on mental health equity and the role of CHWs in reducing stigma.

  • Breakout sessions on maternal and infant health, behavioral health integration, workforce development, and community violence interruption.

  • Networking opportunities with state and national leaders in public health.

  • Partner recognition of organizations advancing the CHW profession.

  • A special registration giveaway where participants can win a 1-night stay at Glacier Canyon Lodge.

 Why It Matters

Community Health Workers are trusted frontline professionals who bridge the gap between health systems and the communities they serve. From addressing maternal health disparities to supporting reentry populations, CHWs are uniquely positioned to ensure health access, dignity, and equity.

“This conference is about more than professional development, it’s about building relationships  and connections,” said Bria Grant, Executive Director of UniteWI. “By investing in CHWs, we invest in healthier families and stronger communities across Wisconsin.”
